Ful Medames

Most popular as the public dish of Egypt, Ful Medames is a generous stew of warmed fava beans blended in with olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. It is an incredible Suhoor choice to go with this Ramadan in the event that you love trying different things with foods all over the planet!

Servings: 2-4


Fixings

2 jars fava beans, depleted and flushed

1⁄4 cup new lemon juice

1⁄4 cup olive oil, in addition to more to decorate

2 tsp. ground cumin

1⁄4 tsp. cayenne

4 cloves garlic, stripped and pounded

Fit salt and newly ground dark pepper, to taste

2 hard-bubbled eggs, cut into 6 wedges each

2 tbsp. finely slashed parsley


Headings

1. Place beans in a 2-qt. pan and cover with water by 1 inch.

2. Place over medium intensity, and heat to the point of boiling; cook until beans are delicate (around 8 minutes).

3. Drain beans, and move to a bowl; add juice, oil, cumin, cayenne, garlic, and salt and pepper. Mix until beans are marginally separated.

4. Transfer to a serving platter, and encompass with egg wedges; shower with more oil, and sprinkle with parsley prior to serving.
