Teh Halia 

Teh Halia is the Malaysian rendition of ginger tea, a variation of the smooth and marginally hot and sweet Teh Tarik. It is perfect for assimilation and can be added to your suhoor and iftar menu.

Fixings

3 tsp Ceylon dark tea

2 tbsp new ginger, stripped and coarsely ground

2 tsp improved dense milk

1 cup water


Headings

Heat the water to the point of boiling.

Add tea and ginger and let steep over low intensity for 10 minutes.

Strain and empty the imbued fluid into a huge mug.

Add the dense milk and blend in with a spoon.
