Badam Hareera

Badam Hareera is a traditional Indian drink made with almonds, milk, and various spices. It is typically served hot and is a popular beverage during the winter months.

To make Badam Hareera, you will need:

·         1 cup almonds

·         4 cups milk

·         1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

·         1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

·         1/4 teaspoon saffron strands

·         1 tablespoon rose water

·         Optional: chopped nuts and raisins for garnish

Instructions:

1.    Soak the almonds in water overnight. The next day, peel off the skin and grind them into a fine paste using a blender or food processor.

2.    In a large pot, heat the milk on medium heat until it comes to a boil.

3.    Add the almond paste to the milk and stir well. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4.    Add the sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands to the mixture and stir well.

5.    Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly.

6.    Add the rose water and stir well.

7.    Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.

8.    Serve hot and garnish with chopped nuts and raisins if desired.

Enjoy your delicious Badam Hareera!
