Badam Hareera
Badam Hareera is a traditional Indian drink made with
almonds, milk, and various spices. It is typically served hot and is a popular
beverage during the winter months.
To make Badam Hareera, you will need:

1 cup almonds
·
4 cups milk
·
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
·
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
·
1/4 teaspoon saffron strands
·
1 tablespoon rose water
·
Optional: chopped nuts and raisins
for garnish
Instructions:

Soak the almonds in water overnight.
The next day, peel off the skin and grind them into a fine paste using a
blender or food processor.

In a large pot, heat the milk on
medium heat until it comes to a boil.

Add the almond paste to the milk and
stir well. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes,
stirring occasionally.

Add the sugar, cardamom powder, and
saffron strands to the mixture and stir well.
5.
Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes
until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly.
6.
Add the rose water and stir well.
7.
Remove from heat and let the mixture
cool for a few minutes.
8.
Serve hot and garnish with chopped
nuts and raisins if desired.
